What is a Parenting Co-ordinator?

Collaborative Divorce

PARENTING COORDINATION

What is Parenting Coordination?

Parenting Coordination is a child centred process for conflicted divorced and divorcing parents .  It is a dispute resolution technique to help parents organise their ongoing parenting arrangements before, during and after they have reached their final Court Orders.

Through education, mediation and case management, the family's post-separation progress is monitored to help parents ensure the best possible outcomes for their children.  The focus is on the well-being of the child and to lower everyone's stress levels.

 Trauma Informed Law

If Trauma-Informed Law discusses the many intersections of trauma and law where it is often denied, ignored, covered up, or avoided.  The book is intended for lawyers, law students, legal educators, and judges, as well as decision-makers, administrators, staff, and anyone impacted by the court.

It is a collection of cases and situations with practice implications for other cases impacted by trauma, whether those cases and situations involve race, class, gender, different physical or mental abilities (or disability), sexual  orientation or other diverse factors including the impact of developmental health issues, addiction, substance abuse, poverty, access to opportunities, community safety or belonging and more.  Each scenario holds useful implications for both practice issues within the same area of law and even in other areas of law or the legal system.

Good Mourn-ing

by Sally Douglas and Imogen Carn

From the creators of the popular podcast Good Mourning, this support-group-in-a-book helps readers navigate grief and loss with warmth, humour, raw honesty and the affirmation that they are not alone.  We all know working in the separation space, that the breakdown of a relationship can leave those that we are working with in the depths of despair and grief.

'A comforting support group in book form.  A must-read for grievers.' Ellidy Pullin

'Good Mourning is a gift - the package you leave on the doorstep of anyone rocked by grief when you don't have the words.' - Jessie Stephens, author of Heartsick

Sally Douglas and Imogen Carn met after the sudden deaths of their mothers only months apart.  Their experiences led them to launch a podcast, and their no-holds-barred, relatable approach to talking about grief sparked a growing following of people eager to have honest conversations about what it really feels like to deal with loss.

Good Mourning is a compassionate survival guide for anyone dealing with grief - the kind of book Sal and Im wish they'd had to help them through the dark times.  Here they shine a light on the many ways grief can impact our lives (hello ugly crying, exhaustion and 'grief brain'). Along with expert advice from clinical psychologist Tamara Cavenett and warm words and insights from hundreds of others who've experienced grief, the authors offer practical tips on coping with isolation and loneliness, navigating grief at work, managing milestones and so much more.
