A big night of connection, community and giving back.
In 2024, this wonderful event proudly raised over $49,000 in support of The Family Co. In 2025, it was bigger, brighter and better, raising over $104,000 in support of The Family Co.
Over 200 women attended and it was wonderful to see so many familiar faces from such a supportive family law community.
This professional networking evening is proudly sponsored by Southern Waters Legal, a firm deeply committed to empowering women and supporting families in our community. The event is designed for women in business, senior leadership roles, and women looking to connect with like-minded professionals who understand the power of community and collaboration. It's more than just networking—it's a platform to lift each other up while raising vital funds for women and children affected by domestic violence in our local community.
Leona Bennett and Sarah Lamb of Southern Waters Legal, should be incredibly proud of the event they have created, the people they bring together and the difference they make to women and children who need it most. All proceeds from the auctions are donated to The Family Co., whose support services are crucial to families fleeing domestic violence. |

(Un)Tangled: 52 Co-Parenting Habits to Build Trust, Reduce Conflict and Raise Emotionally Secure Kids After Divorce
by Deborah Gilman, Ph.D.
Small shifts. Big impact. One week at a time (although I admit I read it over a weekend). Co-parenting doesn’t have to feel like a tug of war.
In (Un)Tangled, clinical psychologist, co-parenting expert and my dear friend, Dr. Deborah Gilman offers 52 practical, powerful habits—one for every week of the year—to help divorced or separated parents reconnect with what matters most: raising emotionally secure, resilient kids.
Whether you’re deep in conflict or navigating the quiet tension of parallel parenting, this book meets you where you are. Each habit is rooted in neuroscience, attachment theory, and real-life stories from families who’ve been there. It provides easy to read, helpful tips and tools with the science to back it up.
Expect no shaming, no jargon—just a steady hand to guide you through the messiness, one week at a time.
Dr. Deborah Gilman is a licensed psychologist, expert in attachment and trauma, and co-parenting consultant with over two decades of experience helping families heal and thrive. |

Relationship Reset
by Lissy Abrahams
Why do we fight most with those we love best?
Australian relationship therapist Lissy Abrahams has spent years exploring this question, both in her treatment room helping clients and through extensive research.
She knows that long-term conflict leaves us drained, anxious and worried for the emotional wellbeing of our families, but says it is neither intractable nor inevitable. Conflict is caused by unconscious patterns of thinking and behaviour - unresolved feelings of fear, instability or pain - which can be consciously rewired for a healthier, happier relationship.
Lissy has seen firsthand how even small changes can help people reduce conflict and reconnect with their partners, improving their quality of life.
In Relationship Reset, Lissy provides practical, evidence-based tools to help you: - understand how childhood experiences affect adult relationships - identify your blind spots, defence mechanisms and triggers - and recognise them in others - become aware of patterns in conflict, and learn new ways to respond to distress - communicate clearly and openly with your partner, without judgment - develop a more trusting, intimate and stable relationship.
Filled with insightful research, case studies and exercises, Relationship Reset will help you rewrite the stories underlying your emotional life, and build a secure and loving union. |
